What happens on a service visit

• Filters removed, washed and checked for damage
• Indoor coil and fan barrel cleaned and treated with an anti-bacterial product
• Drain tray and pipe flushed, pump tested if fitted
• Outdoor coil cleaned, fan and fixings checked
• Operating pressures and temperatures logged, joints leak-tested
• Wiring, isolators and controls inspected
• Heating and cooling performance tested
• Written report, with photos and any recommendations

How often?

Homes: once a year, ideally in spring. Busy offices, labs, clinics, salons, gyms and server rooms: every six months, because longer running hours and more dust load up filters and coils faster. Extended manufacturer warranties often depend on a yearly service.

When to book sooner

• The room takes noticeably longer to reach temperature
• A damp or musty smell at start-up
• Drips or water marks under the indoor unit
• Rattling, buzzing or a louder outdoor unit
• Frost on the pipework in summer
• Flashing lights or an error code on the display

Service plans

A plan books your visits in advance, sends a reminder and moves you up the queue if a fault appears. It suits landlords, letting agents and any business with several units.

F-Gas obligations

Systems holding 5 tonnes CO₂ equivalent of refrigerant or more must be leak-checked by certified engineers at set intervals, with records kept by the operator. We do the checks and keep the records for you.
